ABOUT US

Maurizio Belmonte (or MBDCI) has serviced the Interior design and building industry to for 20 years and has grown multilaterally during this time to better understand how to service the needs of the clients and their prospective spaces. We use a trend line progressive approach to keep the client current in not only the aesthetic but in its core functionality as most successful designers practice. The company is geared towards the general sectors of design, each client from residential to commercial is unique and therefor must have its own distinction, home to home and Brand to Brand. We here provide the glue that binds the needs to complete the product… Having a strong technical background from fieldwork and case studies, lends well to the hands on appeal and value we bring to the client. We feel confident that should we be the awarded candidates to proceed with a project, we will be sure to be the right fit, we strive to simply make things work. When having a strong, resolved mindset to truly understand the user criteria, then a strong and resolved design program will be established; and ultimately administered for construction. These tenets are disciplines we instill into our team, all work is best administered with a viable plan.

ABOUT US

Our Work Process

  • Design Discovery
  • Issue Client Checklist
  • Establish User Criteria

1 / design discovery & development

Sometimes two distinct areas of our preliminary work, “The discovery” then the “Development”, we start by providing a checklist to the client so that we are armed with all the correct and pertinent user criteria we need to fullfil the client design program. As we consolidate our data, we begin to propose our plan, through visuals, descriptions and any viable source or reference we feel the client can connect with. An overall approval of this the then established in order to proceed into the next phase. We will also circulate our approved design to our consultants for infrastuctural development and impact study.

  • Design Development
  • Visual Research
  • Reference Materials
  • Acquire an Approval

2 / design production

At this stage all working drawings to produce final construction design documents with be completed for submission. as an example, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, power and date or point of connection layouts Elevations, Sections Details and all relevant schedules that help us reference and allocate instructions on plan.

  • End Result & Product

3 / finished product

Once everything is submitted we will review all the deliverables with the client And the prospective contractor to ensure everything in our design submission has been understood and ready to proceed.

We then also discuss possible value engineering processes with contractor and client incase cost evaluations have exceeded the budget.

Traditionally these are often met with additional service fees unless otherwise agreed upon prior.

I believe that trends are beneficial to the progression of the state of things, popular design alway circles back into our society which ultimately reinforces my point… as a dilitent piano player design to me this ideology is no different than playing an intrument to make music, either way once seen and heard, it strikes an emotion through expression… So the pen or the piano are simply tools to communicate our state by simply trying to acheive two things, stike an emotion from our audience and accepting the reaction a well composed product can provide…

Perhaps abit more about me… Mostly Im passionate , in some cases to a fault… but this is most artists and it is human nature, so i tend to embrace things i cannot fully control… I love making new connections, and tend to encircle myself around like minded individuals preferably more interesting than me…

Fitness is my thing, keeping up appearances, dressing up and showing up, have always kept me vigilant with my health and my personal life… I encourace you all to be open minded, vulnerable and uncomfortable so that you dont get too used to expectation. This methodology has shaped and changed my life and hope to impart this wisdom with in my circle and through this great craft.

  • Gabriela Bio

  • DESIGNER

Hi, I’m Gabriella Briganti. I am the Junior Designer at MB Design Consultants Inc.

Growing up, I always had a passion for the visual arts, both studying and creating my own pieces. I especially loved studying the intricate ornate details of the architecture produced before our time. To me, they hold this timeless presence of beauty. I decided to utilize my creative side to inspire my career choice of a designer. I graduated from the Bachelor’s of Interior Design program at Humber College with Honors.

My passion for this field of work lies in the fact that design is constantly evolving and changing. There is always room to grow, experiment, and progress. And while I believe interior design is about creating a beautiful space, I also believe that it must meet the clients’ needs and function properly. “Architecture is really about well-being. I think that people want to feel good in a space… On the one hand it’s about shelter, but it’s also about pleasure.” – Zaha Hadid

Maybe a little more about me personally. I am an avid animal lover. I have recently taken up an interest in health and trying to apply the passion I have for being creative to this portion of my life. Being from the northern part of the city, I love taking days and just going downtown and exploring with friends. It always amazes me that every single time there is something new and beautiful to discover. I believe that in life you should maintain a balance between work and play.

  • Junior Architectural Technologist

Hello, I’m Alex Belmonte. I am the junior Architectural Technologist at MB Design Consultants Inc.

I grew up in a rural setting looking at nature and seeing how it impacts the flow of construction in the industry. Working in construction with my father most of my life I learned how to push the limits in the field to make wild ideas come to life. I enjoy learning about different cultures and I like to look at all options before I make a decision.

I have always been fascinated with construction but more so with the design processes, seeing my ideas come to life is the reason I perused my goals and graduated my Architectural Technology program at Humber North Campus.

I enjoy going out and exploring different settings and being with friends and family. I have been aiming myself towards a healthier lifestyle and focusing on my physical health striving to be the best I can be both at home and at work.
